PRP Therapy Goals

PRP Therapy Candidates

• 18 years old and older
• Dull skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and pigmentation
• Must not be pregnant/lactating

Pre-treatment Care

• Limit sun exposure and wear sunscreen
• No other skin care treatments for at least 6 weeks before the surgery
• Avoid blood thinners to avoid the risk of scarring
• Take prescriptions ahead of time
• Avoid exfoliation for at least 6 weeks prior to treatment and avoid products with Retin A

Procedure

• A small amount of blood is drawn from the body via syringe
• The blood is spun in a centrifuge which helps you obtain platelet rick plasma
• Clean the skin and remove any dirt and makeup
• Numbing cream is applied to minimize the pain from the pricks
• PRP is administered to the skin via microinjections at different points
• Cooling cream/gel is applied to soothe the skin
• The entire treatment takes less than 30 minutes.

Post Treatment Care

• Apply a good sunscreen
• Avoid blood thinning medications for a minimum of two weeks as it leads to extreme scarring
• No skin care treatments for at least a month to let skin heal
• Apply topical ointments as recommended by dermatologist.
• No scrubbing for two weeks after the treatment
