Dental Veneers

Dental veneer is a thin layer of a special material placed over the surface of a tooth, either to enhance the beauty of a tooth or to protect the tooth surface and build the smile and confidence.

There are different types of dental veneers to choose from in Derma Max Medical Centre. After consultation with our dentist and deciding the right veneer for you, then it is time to brighten up your smile.

But How Safe Are Veneers?

Veneers are a non-invasive treatment and are very safe dental procedure. Things to consider before undergoing this procedure is having a good dentist and following a proper oral hygiene routine.

Dental Veneers Types

Dental veneers are made from either a resin composite material or ceramic. Dentist will discuss these two types and explain the pros or cons of each beforehand.

Composite veneers are done directly inside the mouth of the patient in one session. These veneers are thinner and the dentist will have to remove a bit of tooth surface before placing the new superficial surface.

Ceramic veneers, on the other hand, have to be tailored-made to the particular patient. Ceramic veneers do not require the scrapping off of some of your tooth enamel and has better chance of resisting stains than composite veneers.

Finally, ceramic veneers have more light-reflecting qualities of the natural teeth, which are closer-looking to normal teeth than composite veneers.
